The Swamp Rabbit Trail has drawn a lot of positive attention over the last few years. Greenville, SC and the trail have been featured in numerous articles. We have rented bikes to people from all over the country visiting Greenville just because they read about the trail. And when they pick up bikes, they want to know where to go.

Travelers Rest, SC has become one of our favorite suggested sites for a ride. Whether its a meal at the Williams Hardware, coffee at Leopard Coffee, or a visit to one of the stores in the center of town, it is a great place to take a quick break before heading back to town.

While you are there, swing by Sunrift Adventures. Sunrift is an outfitters store in the center of town right on the trail.

From our shop, Travelers Rest is just over 9 miles. Being a revitalized rail bed, the trail is very flat. At a casual pace, you’ll pass Furman University in an hour or less and then another 20 min or so to get to Travelers Rest. It is an easy destination, and the town of Travelers Rest is a charming reward.

We’ll see you on the trail!

Labor Day Suggestion…

Just noticed this picture of a Reedy Rides bike on Greenville Daily Photo. We can’t help but agree! If you have even an hour to spare, come rent a bike and venture into some areas of Greenville that might have been a little too far to walk… a bike is a great way to expand your exploring.

Furman is an easy 6.5 miles (an hour or less) and Travelers Rest just another 2.5 miles up the trail.

Thanks to Greenville Daily Photo for the post! Happy Labor Day!
